Sanvedana Foundation is a charitable organization. The aim of the organization is to provide financial assistance to the needy, with the support of sensitive and capable people of our society. This assistance is provided mainly for medical and educational purposes. The organization is registered in the office of the Charity Commissioner.
There is a WhatsApp group of students of Tilaknagar Vidyamandir (Dombivali) who have passed 10th class in the year 1986. The members of the group would meet regularly for get togethers and trips. In 2017 Umesh Bodas, a batchmate, appealed to the group for financial support as he had to undergo regular dialysis due to kidney failure. It was decided that a fund should be set up to help him every month. About 60-70 members responded and a fund of around Rs. 300,000 was created and Umesh started getting financial help on a monthly basis. Unfortunately, he succumbed within six months. It was decided to use the remaining funds to help others in need.
